For this week’s art topic we are learning about SPACE! When we talk about space in art, we are not talking about our solar system, we are talking about where everything is in our picture. We look to see which objects are closer and which are far away. For these two activities, you can explore space by overlapping the background, middle ground and foreground or by changing the size of an object. Please pick one activity to complete, and upload a picture to your google classroom!
A Simple Landscape
Materials needed:
Pencil
Paper
Markers (washable!)
Paintbrush and water (optional)
For this project we are going to be making a landscape. A landscape is a picture of the outside. We are going to be adding water in the foreground (or the front), hills in the middle ground (or middle) and a sunset in the background (or the back).
Feeling Sheepish Materials Needed:
Paper
Pencil/Pen
Coloring Materials (optional)
For this project we are going to be drawing a herd of sheep. If you want to draw another animal that is totally fine! We will be making BIG sheep in the front smaller sheep in the middle and really small sheep in the back to make it look like our herd is very spread out.
