Listen to me read the introduction to you:
OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
Hello 5th Grader! The Hingham Art Teachers have been working hard to give you fun and creative ways to review what you already know about visual art. We understand that different families have different resources at home (so do I!) so you will have choices. Over these next few days, 5th grade students will be "playing with reality"! All the art teachers miss you a lot, and will see you soon! If you have questions, submit a question on google classroom or ask your parents to email me. I am the art teacher at PRS, Ms Kelfer: [email protected] INTRODUCTION As usual, there are two choices of lessons this week, one it slightly shorter of an activity the other! Both activities requires you to use PHOTOGRAPHY and so you will need a camera, you may need an adult to help you out with that part...If you do not have access to a camera, don't fret! Instead of photographing your work you can explain to me in two sentences what you did! Read through both options and make sure you choose what interests you! Realism refers to artwork that is created to appear real, or as real as possible. Some artists are interested in portraying objects, places and people realistically while others are not, I’m sure you can tell the difference right away! There are some artists that play around with realism or try to alter or change reality! Two of my favorite artists that do this are Ben Heine! Check out his artwork below. How do Ben Heine and Nicolai Tolstych alter or change reality? How is their artwork similar? How do they differ? MATERIALS (the same for both activities)
ACTIVITY CHOICE 1: Pencil Vs. Camera
