Introduction: What is form? Form is what makes an object look three-dimensional. It is the difference between a regular, flat circle and a sphere. In art, we can show form by either drawing something to look 3D, or we can build something 3D, like a sculpture. Sculptures are pieces or artwork that can be seen from all sides. Today, we are going to be making a sculpture out of simple materials you can find around your house. Materials: • Glue- I used Elmer’s white glue, but any glue should work. • Thin cardboard-a cereal box will do! • Scissors • Paper- This can come from a number of sources. You can use construction paper, printer paper, pages out of a magazine, old greeting cards, junk mail, paper bags, or even old gift wrap Prep Work: Cut 8-10 strips of your paper that you are using. Cut a cardboard base, for my base I used the back of cardboard box.
