ACTIVITY 1: Build A Paper Bridge
Span that gap with a bridge building challenge! MATERIALS
1. Set up two stacks of books and build a bridge that spans the gap out of paper! 2. Take a look at pictures of bridges before you start. You not only want your bridge to work (hod weight) but also look interesting and beautiful! 3. Test the bridge with the weight of pennies! 4. Take a picture and send it to me! Tips: Create a gap using two stacks of books that the bridge will need to span. Test the strength of the paper bridges by adding pennies to it. You can also compare other bridge building materials such as tin foil, wax paper, construction paper, or card stock! OR |
