OVERVIEW & PURPOSE Hello 5th Grader! The Hingham Art Teachers have been working hard to give you fun and creative ways to review what you already know about visual art. We understand that different families have different resources at home (so do I!) so you will have choices. These next few days 5th grade students are working on LINE. All the art teachers miss you a lot, and will see you soon! If you have questions, please ask your parents to email me. I am the art teacher at PRS, Ms Kelfer [email protected] INTRODUCTION This week’s art creation should be simple, quick, and hopefully fun! Art Review for the week: LINES! Grade five students will create a piece of artwork all about LINE. This lesson is designed to review different types of lines. Begin by exploring lines… Look around your home, where do you see lines? Are they vertical, horizontal, straight, curvy, bumpy? Make a list of the way you would describe ten different lines if your home! Optional extension: Sing this silly song while you look around! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQEVllmeWH4 Optional extension: Watch this video about LINE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDePyEFT1gQ OBJECTIVES
