Hello Second and Third Graders! The Hingham Art Teachers have been working hard to give you fun and creative ways to review what you already know about visual art. We understand that different families have different resources at home (so do I!) so just have fun with what you have. All the art teachers miss you a lot, and will see you soon!
Found IMAGERY
WEEK#3 OBJECTIVES
This week’s art creation should be fun with collage!!
Use found imagery to help build an artwork.
Use found imagery to stimulate your imagination!
MATERIALS
Paper
Scissors
Glue or tape
Magazine or newspaper etc …
Something to add color: Pencils, colored pencils, markers, paint, your choice!
ACTIVITY
Collect magazines and newspaper that your parents would allow you to cut up to use for an art collage
Find 2-3 images that look interesting to you. This can include animals and objects or textures and beautiful colors.
Cut out a part of the image
Glue or tape this piece you cut onto a larger piece of paper. Glue it anywhere you choose...doesn’t have to be in the middle of the page
Now that this piece is glued down, use your imagination to finish the picture
Use your pencil to draw it all out
Color or paint your new creation
If you would like, use more than one image to collage on your paper
Take a picture of your artwork and have your parents email
