OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
Hello 5th Grader! The Hingham Art Teachers have been working hard to give you fun and creative ways to review what you already know about visual art. We understand that different families have different resources at home (so do I!) so you will have choices. Over these next few days, 5th grade students will be continuing to work on the element of art FORM! All the art teachers miss you a lot, and will see you soon! If you have questions, submit a question on google classroom or ask your parents to email me. I am the art teacher at PRS, Ms Kelfer: [email protected] INTRODUCTION Remember that a form is a 3D shape, this means that instead of only seeing height and width of a shape you can see height, width and depth! Last week you practiced drawing forms, this week you will be building a sculpture that HAS actual FORM! What are some sculptures you know about? What materials do you think artists use to create sculptures? OBJECTIVES
MATERIALS NEEDED (two options) Choice one:
ACTIVITY CHOICE 1: Shape to Form: Recycled Cardboard Sculpture
ACTIVITY CHOICE 2: Shape to Form, Sonobe Cube
